Dive Master Training Cambodia
Looking for the first step in working with SCUBA as a career? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the Divemaster program. Working closely with our PADI and SSI Instructors, you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level in this program. Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. As the only SSI Instructor Trainer Facility in Cambodia, we can help you move on to instructor level as well.
What You Learn
During the Divemaster program, you will learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba diving skills. You put this knowledge into action through a structured internship.
We have various packages available for divers looking to go pro. Some of these are listed in the course section of our website, and they should give you a general idea of what sort of price tag the divemaster program has. Quite likely you’ll want to tailor the program to your particular needs and requirements. Generally we advise divers looking to go pro, to take their time doing it. The longer you spend honing your skills, the better you will get! All of our divemaster programs have unlimited free diving for as long as you stay, and most people get in excess of a hundred dives as they do their divemaster training with us. The shortest possible time to do the divemaster program in is around two to three weeks, but we like our trainees to stay for much longer. After your course is finished, you can seek work as a a qualified Divemaster anywhere in the scuba industry – and we do actually hire a good number of our own trainees, as we are confident about their skills and leadership qualities.
We try very hard not to be “just another” divemaster factory, churning out big numbers of new barebone divemasters with the least amount of possible training. We take pride in our work and our tuitition and we seek divemaster candidates who look for quality instruction and are committed to taking the course seriously.
To take the course, you must be:
- 18 years old
- Advanced Open Water (Any qualifying agency)
- Rescue Diver (Any qualifying agency)
- First Aid CPR ( Any qualifying agency, within last 24 months)
- Have at least 40 logged dives to start and 60 for certification
- Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the past 12 months.

|Doing a Divemaster internship is a lot of work and a lot of study, but it’s also a lot of fun! I’m happy I chose EcoSea as I feel the instructors here are good mentors, as they’ve all been in the industry for ages! (some of them even look old! Haha)|
